i love my dad's hair (including the 'stache) and his rockin' shades. see the pocket on the front of his shirt? he still likes tshirts with front pockets. i love that, tho you can't see him, my brother lucas is there... three months before being born, still inside my mom's belly. i love my mom's dimple, the same one i have, the same one adam now has. i love the big 1, the home-baked chocolate cake and the big smile on my face. i love how my mom taped the notebook paper tear-out on the bottom of the polaroid. i love how, when i see this now, i am amazed by how much adam looks the same as i did then.

in this photo, my mom is 22 years old, my dad 25. so young. younger (lots younger!) than we are now.
