well, hellll-lllllo march! we're almost there, you guys. almost to spring. i am working to savor the change, though. i realize we may not always live in a place with such distinct seasons (can't say i'd mind a perma-summer, but i digress...). so this weekend, i am digging up old dead plants that the snow has finally melted off of, rebuilding (and doubling the size of!!) the mystery garden. only hopefully this year it won't be a mystery and otis will mind his own business. we're cleaning out our tool shed (um, scary), hanging shelves and organizing. with 50+ degree weather, there's also a parade in our town with little adam and surely a stroll or two. gosh, we sound so domestic. don't worry. we're also hitting st. ex and then seeing a jazz band with our newly married pals in the district on friday night. phew.

it's sunny and breezy and cold, but the morning is coming earlier and i don't have to leave my porch light on for myself anymore-- it's still daytime when i get home. little birds chirp outside my window in the mornings and when i walk through the city i see teeny little tulip and daffodil buds have broken through the ground. some of the tree branches have green tips.

and, maybe best of all, adam says "fow-er"

we're almost there.

remember how i said i wanted to cut out tv? my, how easy that has been. much easier than i anticipated. uninterrupted evenings, fun had to music, so much better. i don't miss it one bit. when i came home from work this week to hear eric playing neil young before i even opened the front door, i told him i knew we were meant to be.

(speaking of being meant to be... i would like to add that when we met, in march several years ago, at the end of the first weekend we spent together, i laid by a pool in a bathing suit and shared with my best friend how the weekend went. yes. a pool. in march. have i mentioned how ready i am for the season-change?)

I so admire you giving up tv. However, who in the world will I talk about Glee with in just a few short weeks?!
