i am busier than ever. i feel lighter than ever.

allow me to explain.

today, i:
made eggs and fruit for breakfast, salmon wraps for lunch, falafel patties and snow peas for dinner.
cleaned, unpacked, and organized two bathrooms.
cleaned up all the clothes off our bedroom floor (a month worth of clothes from our displacement month, basically dumped out of our suitcases to the floor. i couldn't see the carpet and the dog had found himself a new bed... it was time to sort and clean.)
took adam to the children's museum for a few hours. i am certain this was the most fun he had since moving here. SO many children and fun things to do and explore. awesome.
set up meetings with 4 potential nannies.
washed and folded two loads of laundry.
walked/ran 4.5 miles.
took adam to a playground.
walked otis 4 (!) times.

seriously? yes, seriously!

i am SO bizzy (which i am sure will lessen once all our unpacking is done...). but i feel less stressed than ever. i am getting more exercise and spending more time outside than i have in years. i am getting shiz done and not being weighed down by stress of a job that's super high strung with all these things on my mind at the same time. i DO hope to have a full time job again, but never, ever want to feel that way again. time was such a limited luxury. now, i fall asleep fast and sleep hard, wake up happy and early and get so much done, squeezing in fun to boot.

i'll admit, there are times that things are lonely. and days i wish i had three things: fun friends here, a nanny and a big ol bunch of money, so i could dip into all the cute boutiques and restaurants i walk past every day. but this life is worth the salary i left behind. every bit. (so far.)

the summer here in maine is too nice for words. one of the sea-side parks we frequent is breathtaking. the sun is gorgeous, the temperature perfection. i can see why people spend their summers here. it's gorgeous, the people (most of them...) are nice, the food is excellent, and life is slower.

loving life. so much lighter.
