adam and i spent the weekend in boston with eric. delicious burgers (burger w/ carmalized onions, apples and brie?! oh yes.), yummy brunch with great friends, todiefor cannoli, splashing in fountains, cooling with gelato, walking and walking and walking, music listening, swimming and boat riding.
eric's boat is in north boston, where we spent most of our time. this weekend celebrated the feast of st. anthony and everywhere was covered in white streamers, photos of saints, prayers and music and marching here and there. it was beautiful and whimsical to see and hear - disorganized, loud, yet also spontaneous and pretty.
while there, with adam's birthday coming, i got him a new art easel, some chalks, new roll of clean white paper, and little kid-sized table and chairs so he can "lolor" and paint as much as he likes. often, "lolor, mommy?" is the FIRST thing out of his mouth in the morning, he loves it so.
