around 9am on labor day, eric said - what are we going to do today? i totally forgot it was a holiday. within an hour, we'd packed lunch, tot and all his accessories, water and a kiddo-backpack-carrier into the jeep and were on our way up the coast 2 hours to sweet little camden, maine.

we ate lunch on the rocks by the sea and then hiked up mt. megunticook trail - about a mile and about and hour and a half of climbing over rocks uphill. i have to admit that we bit off... not more than we could chew... but a damn big bite. and eric, whew, with an extra 30 lbs on his back (tho, true to his style, never complained once).

but, the top was so worth it all! it was amazingly beautiful and i feel so lucky to have seen it. we finished the day with beers and dinner down in the little harbor that could be seen from the top of the mountain. pretty sweet.

these photos uploaded in reverse, so you get to see the top first, unlike us. :)
