we did it.  we're O.P.E.N.

our opening day hosted two well-attended yoga classes and a big ol' party that night.  the band was PERFECT, made the party something it would never have been with just my ipod playing, and there were lines for chair massage and henna.  all the food was eaten, the champagne and wine and water and teas and chocolates all gone.  it was surreal for me.  i worried beforehand that the party would consist of my family, me, and eric.  but, it ended up that there was hardly room to move about the studio, and i chatted with so many new students and neighbors. around 60 people attended.

a couple times, i went in the bathroom and shut the door; i just needed a minute to absorb and breathe- this is really happening. i made this.  all these people people are here.  right now. at this place.  right now. 

super surreal.

since then, students have been in classes and we've gotten lots of compliments and class requests.  bigsighofrelief. so far.  regardless,i'm having fun.  all the teachers are awesome and i feel grateful that this space now exists. 

i didn't take a single photo at the opening.  i was one busy mama, chatting, serving, cleaning, meeting, greeting.  i asked my pal katie to take some photos at the party and she did, and i know they'll be amazing.  for now, she sent me this one from the opening night.
