beautiful day outside with friends and adam and marin - amazingly beautiful. days like this make me sooo happy.
grocery visit with adam. tj's has little carts for adam too and he loves pushing his own cart and picking up things to put them in his cart. i love taking him to do this - we're both bummed when all the little carts are used up. but today we had our own and it was super fun.
happy baby girl - marin is a new girl these days, happy and predictable and smiling and round. can't love her enough, can't kiss her super-fat cheeks enough.
awesome yoga class. i love this job. super love.
but... embarrassingly, i have injured my wrist doing yoga lately (balancing on weak, postnatal wrists = bad idea...) and am headed tomorrow to urgent care for an x-ray, i suppose. happened last friday and i kept telling myself it would surely get better tomorrow. well now many tomorrows have passed and it's only worse. and swollen. blah. so bad.
last night i walked with the kids to see eric's boat depart. i decided to walk to the pier for exercise, rather than drive. 1.5 mile each way really isn't that bad or further than i'd normally walk them. however...... portland is shaped like a saddle, with a high hump in the middle. we live on the left side of the saddle, and the pier is on the right. so, i walked up hill both ways pushing about 60lbs of baby, kid and double stroller. the hill is probably a 45 degree incline. WHEW. talk about a workout. (this might explain why my wrist hurts more today, actually.) but! i was so glad we did it! so much better than driving and a nice evening, good way to fit in exercise, spend time with the babes (stopped at a playground on the way!), see daddy and enjoy our great city.
tonight after yoga class, one of my students was joking about "those 20-somethings" out there - you know those all out there, everywhere ... and anyhow during this convo, it occured to me that she couldn't and wouldn't make this joke with me unless she assumed i wasn't one of those 20-somethings too. otherwise this convo would be offensive to me too. and then i was thinking, CRAP - i don't look 25??? i am a sure-thing 30 to everyone? man. good? bad?
i need to think this over.
