marin is getting fatter and is suchsuchsuchsuch an adorable little baby. she's like a doll. her little life is starting to make sense to me, making things less mysterious and somewhat easier. she's different from her brother and being with her has been a whole new learning experience.
every day things get easier. things have been super duper hard for awhile. and now things are starting to make sense again. she is sleeping a little more during the day and a lot more during the night - technically, all night. she sleeps from 8pm to 5:30am or so most nights. what a difference a night's sleep makes! i've been in yoga classes back to back, more than one in a day sometimes, grass-sitting with a pal in a park chatting overlooking the sea, reading excellent books, and - the most important part, probably - my partner home, so i have a friend and extra hands. last night, eric worked, and i came home from teaching at 8pm or so. thanks to our nanny, kiddos were almost immediately in bed after i came home and i sat down with my book, some ice cream and red wine. i read in silence in our living room till 930 and it was so wonderful. this morning, as i washed my face, my stomach growled loudly.... ah. i forgot to eat dinner last night. i was so excited and thankful for the silence, the book, the time alone and the red wine that i never made myself a meal.
time for a big breakfast.
