this weekend, the bumbo seat i ordered for adam arrived. we had so much fun with it and must have taken about a million photos of him sitting in it and smiling. yes, yes, i know he's less than the "recommended" age, however after his pediatrician was so over the moon about how well he holds up his head, i figured we'd give it a go. she told us she'd never seen a two month old hold his head up so well and that he is very strong. i didn't need a doc to tell me that :), but still it was nice to hear.
speaking of pediatrician, he weighs 13.5 lbs, which is apparently quite "healthy" for his age. he also got two immunizations which made us both very sad. well more me sad. he was pretty pissed, actually. but we both got over it and went about our day....
(okay, obviously mommy needs to clean the baseboards in the kitchen... we just finished a contruction project at our house, so stop looking at that!! look at the cute baby!!!)
and, ok, there is a wee bit more to my life than yoga and baby... eric and i went to brunch today with adam and i had my first margarita since giving birth. yes, margaritas are allowed in november, in case you didn't know. SNOW is in our forecast for tuesday morning, so that's exciting. the first day of snow is exciting. the second and all subsequent days of snow are the opposite of exciting and make me very homesick.
speaking of home, i am headed there in just a couple weeks with the baby. it will be our first big trip together. annnnnnnnnnnnnnd, at my parents' house, i have another baby waiting for me! they got eric, adam and me a puppy who i will pick up when i get there.
you might be asking yourself, is she crazy to attempt a roadtrip with a puppy and an infant in the car all alone?
well, yes, friends. the answer to that questions is yes.
