blol

know how people write lol all the time? i do it A LOT when i am just smiling. but in this case, i really did just BLOL- belly laugh out loud.

for everyone's benefit, case you didn't see it, my friend rachel commented on my last post:
girl...i will help you. aaron and i never go down the aisles at the store expect for noodles. i have lots of VERY easy and quick recipes. i will totally share. matter of factly, i will work on getting some stuff together for you this weekend. this is going to sound horrible but maybe i can fax them to you? it would be quicker then typing and resending :)

it doesn't sound horrible! but i had to laugh b/c just a couple weeks ago i was on the phone with my mom while she was going around town looking for a new fax machine for her office. i think i said something like, they still make those??

rachel- when you and i used to work together, my mom used to fax me notes to our office when i first started working. the same way a person would email someone a note, but i'd get a fax, handwritten from my mom on plain white paper. cherise (our office manager/assistant) would come in to my office with it in her hand, a confused look on her face, saying, um.... i think you got a letter faxed from your mom. (oh god, i am actually dying laughing as i type this...) it would say stuff like, hey carissa, how's your day? last night we had spaghetti, it was good... you get the idea.

at the time, i am sure i called up my mom and told her to EMAIL me, that i shared the fax and everyone read her note, that no one faxed anymore. but now, i'd give ANYTHING to have those notes now. i wish wish wish i'd saved them. i would treasure them now. my sweet mom thinking of me during her busy day and sending me a note at my new, big job and my first office. my first ever fax number.

so rachel, please please please fax me! it will make me happy thinking of when my mom sent me notes and will make me feel special to use this "vintage" mode of communication. and if you could handwrite me a note... i'd love you even more.

:)
