yeah. *deep sigh* believe it or not, this was his idea...
don't get me wrong, i am super stoked for this plan! i just finished watching (yet another) today show segment about how you are what you eat-- don't you want to be juicy, fresh, young and colorful? boy, i sure do.
with eric's schedule having him living at home 1/2 the time and at work 1/2 the time, and with my late nights at work + baby, we have quite a challenge in our hands. while we're pretty decent about eating healthy when we're together- rare- we have definitely caved to frozen meals while he's at work (him at work with a microwave and me at home with baby to take care of and no one else to cook for...) in fact, it's quite possible that stouffer's and lean cuisine are doing well in this economy thanks to the ciuca family... ok, i kid, i kid. but really, we have some work to do on what we're putting in our bodies. we're fairly healthy, but we could do MUCH better, especially since we had the baby and convenience has become a bigger concern.
this weekend, since march is looming, i am going to come up with the challenge rules. obviously, i am not going to bake my own bread, make my own salad dressings, churn up some butter... some of our foods will have to be packaged. but most should be fresh and as un-preserved and natural as possible. so... what tips do you have for me? recipes? foods that keep awhile? things that make great leftovers that eric can pack for work? websites i can check out for ideas? natural snack that are handy for eating while sitting on a boat/at a desk for 8 hours? holla!
more advice needed-- i need some web help! i want to create/have a new yoga website. any pointers, friends? where do i go?
