dr visit today: total weight gain of 12lbs.  baby heart rate was 140.  signed consent to deliver/have a c-section if necessary forms.  now start going to dr. every 2 weeks.  c-r-a-z-y.  this baby is going to be here in like two minutes.

today, walking around a store doing some shopping, out of nowhere adam leaned forward from his seat in the cart, hugged me and said i love you mama.  he says i love you lots,  but usually in response to our i love yous to him.  it was so sweet and spontaneous i almost started crying then.  i took him with me to my dr, appt today and he was SO good, thankfully.  i talked and talked to him in advance about how the dr. was going to look at mommy's belly, and he had to be good and quiet while i talked to the dr.  he happily snacked on grapes, asked "what's that?" about the foot stirrups (don't worry, didn't have use them today!  i don't want to scar my son for life...)  and played with his race cars while the dr. and i chatted.  phew.  score 1: mom.
