we are moving may 1 - the house worked out great and we're beyond excited for more space.  now listen up, baby: stay put till about may 15 and after that, you're welcome to join us on the outside.

the studio is crazy busy.  i think a combo of groupon + better weather + maybe word of mouth finally taking effect? + .... i have no idea has made our student base triple in the past week or two.  i am definitely on my toes (as much as a 7 mos pregnant lady who is a part-time single mom can be...)  it's been such a dream to meet so many new people, have such excellent teachers in a beautiful space.  one afternoon every week i work there all afternoon alone, music blaring, sometimes cleaning, sometimes dancing around, sometimes doing paperwork, sometimes practicing, and when it's time to go i don't want to leave.  sometimes i just lay on the floor in there all alone thanking god for this experience, this chance.

on saturday i taught a class and as it ended, i received a text from eric saying i needed to call him immediately, that he'd locked himself out of our apartment.... with adam inside.  adam had been napping, but apparently had just woken up - eric could hear him screaming at his bedroom door.  (eric took out the trash, which is how this all began...)  no problem, i said when i called him.  adam is scared but safe inside his bedroom, i thought, and i will be home in 10 minutes.  i ran out to our car and, lo and behold, it wouldn't start.  just. would. not.  we'd been having issues with our car for a couple weeks, but i'd always eventually been able to start it.  naturally, the single time i really really needed it, it wouldn't start.  after awhile of trying, after several frantic phone calls from eric, i finally gave up and took a cab home.  as i walked up to our apartment, eric was lying on the ground shouting under the front door- you can do it, buddy!  open the door for daddy!  adam had managed to let himself out of his own room (never done this before) and eric was trying to coach him on unlocking and opening our front door.  the scene was so funny and adam was so proud and happy from trying to be daddy's helper, that the whole thing became comical.  i pick up our car from the mechanic later today...
