still no babe.  just the three of us.  and it's ok.  eric is anxious.  and i get at least three emails a day asking me if i have had/am having a baby.  i might be the only one who is relishing this last little bit of time with my big-boy adam and my rarely-home husband?  well - if so, that's ok.

have i mentioned how awesome it has been having eric home?  he left just now with adam with my grocery list for the week.  he's taking him to the grocery store with the car-cart for adam to drive, and suddenly a weekly chore has turned into a special "boys' adventure" and a morning free for moi.  so nice.  he helps with dinner, lets me stop and smell every wet, blooming tree on our evening walks, and even smells them too, sometimes, at my urging.  they smell SO good.  we've watched movies together on the couch and oggled over the pretty desserts in the whole foods bakery (how did i not notice these till now??).  i wish he could be home every single day, always.

now our house is totally unpacked.  i finished up and took out the very.last.box yesterday.  everything is put away, clean, folded.  the only place that's not finished up is the baby's room, but we're waiting to see if this baby is a boy or girl before we even begin to decorate in there.  i am running out of things to do, so this would be a perfect time for the baby to arrive.....  i have tried staying on my feet as much as possible every day, up and down stairs with baskets of laundry, hammering and hanging mirrors and photos, dusting and unpacking, walks in the evenings when it's not raining... baby must be very cozy.

speaking of rain, it has been raining for at least ten days straight.  saturday morning the sun peeked out for a few hours and we went to the beach (60 degrees!), but otherwise clouds, rain, fog and mist.  damp cold.  it's a shame b/c every thing is blooming in the rain and it's hard to enjoy it, visually.  but like i said, in the evenings it isn't raining, we walk, and EVERYTHING smells so fresh, clean, green and new.  the grass is a crazy vibrant color of green that i'm certain SC has never seen before.  excited for my family to arrive this weekend for a long visit.
