fresh cut grass and the sounds of lawn mowers early
smells everywhere
the ice cream truck driving by
blossoms on my tables, from my yard and trees
sprouts from the farmers market, ready for me to plant in our little garden
happy evening walks with dance steps and spontaneous adam-circles
reading late, sleeping in
breakfast, lunch and dinner together as a family every day
a first baseball game
sea fog in the mornings and evenings and hair that curls by day's end, no matter what i do
to do lists with lots of things marked through

lately has been perfect.

my mom and dad arrive tomorrow.  and... hopefully baby shortly thereafter.
