marin violet was born june 7th, 2011 at 3:05pm and we are a family in love. eric is overcome with her and watching him love her makes my heart burst. and i, same as when adam was born, am thrown by the feeling of time moving too fast. seeing adam, almost 3, makes that feeling even stronger. i want to wrap her up in a blanket and keep her just the way she is forever. but i know that in a blink she'll be adam's age, and then older, and older and ... seeing her and adam are constant reminders to cherish each moment for and as it is, for each moment passes far too quickly. i don't want to ever look back and wish i'd appreciated things more. i want to appreciate them right now.
marin is a teeny girl, weighing just 6.1lbs at birth, nearly 2lbs less than her big brother weighed. she has a head full of dark hair, which was also a shock, since adam was a baldy at birth and for so long and now has very blonde hair.
i was a week late with marin, so her birth was induced at the hospital. i went in at 8:30am and at 3pm i was holding a baby. sadly my parents, who were here all week waiting for her arrival, only got to hold her for about 20 minutes before they had to go catch their flight home. hopefully they can come back later this summer to kiss and cuddle her some more. because she is very kissable and cuddly.

She is absolutely gorgeous. I want to come and see her so bad in person! Congratulations, my dear friend. Y'all are truly blessed!
Carissa,
Congrats on your gorgeous baby girl. What is your e-mail? I have wanted to visit Maine FOREVER and I'm thinking of bringing my family there this Christmas. Crazy idea? Better to come in fall? I'd love to get your thoughts on spending the holidays there and where to stay :)
