hump day, fun day

- know what i love? the smell of garages. when i walked to/from metro for work, i would slow as i passed parking garages, inhaling deeply. i'm sure that's probably not healthy for baby and me, but i can't help it. it's actually the dankness, the concrete, the rubber tire smell that i love. the coolness of the darkness in there. seriously, as i leave the garage in the afternoon, i roll down all my windows and drive to the front of the garage with my head out the window. mmmm.

-know what our new shutters are like on our house? false eyelashes.

-man i'm tired but the biggest surprise of trimester three is the return of the waterworks. alannis sings: You've already won me over in spite of me/And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet/Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are/I couldn't help it/It's all your fault. i am thinking of the baby and crying as i drive to work. good thing i'm too lazy lately to wear makeup...

-today we got a beautiful wedding invitation from friends getting married in september. as i was reading it and admiring it, i had a realization and totally freaked out: september. wedding invitations typically go out 6 weeks in advance. shit. 6 weeks. 6 weeks. 6 weeks. the baby is coming around the same time as this wedding. the wedding. THIS wedding. this baby. 6 weeks. 6 weeks.

(then i ate some pizza and felt better.)

-in about 36 hours (not that i'm counting or anything...) i will be on a plane bound for charleston. i have a weekend filled with prenatal massaging, poolside lying, sweet friend loving, yummy food eating, baby showering, family-time spending. i can't WAIT. this will be the last time i see most of my sc friends and family before the baby comes.

(by the way, that part is super weird.)

but man am i pumped for this weekend!
